Well, it was pretty much like my first day with the reserves :) I sat around and worked on my CDC's. An exercise was going on so I only met a handful of people. I met my OIC in the afternoon and he sat me down and talked with me a little bit. He's seems pretty cool. Met the commander also and he was really nice too. Actually everyone has been welcoming, with the smiles and just the feel of the place. We'll see how it is tomorrow when everyone else is at the unit, and it's the day they do their physicals...so I get to see how that process works.
I am excited for everything that Public Health does. They even do the bug collecting! So I will actually use a majority of my training. The only thing they really don't mess with is the STD stuff.
As soon as I got home Mom jumped in the shower cuz she was taking Dad to the airport-he's going TDY till next Friday. They have a 'ritual' of dinner before getting dropped off at the airport. So they pretty much took off soon after and it was just me and Phoenix. We didn't have a plan for dinner and I seriously thought about McD's but we had tuna fish sandwiches....which is way healthier! GO AUNTIE :) Not sure when Mom is going to get home so around 7 it's shower time for Phoenix....
Well I need to go keep an eye on him.....
