Acupuncture

Well a neighbor lady mentioned that she had acupuncture done and it help with some things so I made an appointment. So yesterday at 4 I saw the doc. He studied for 4 yrs here on the island and has experience with treating depression and anxiety. One of the psychologist on the army post actually was recommending dependent wives to him-ones that had spouses over seas and were dealing with that. He asked a lot of questions and did some diagnostic test and said I was a good candidate for acupuncture, not everyone is. So I laid down, face down on a massage table and proceeded to get needles in me. First one...the top of my head. You don't even feel the needles. I couldn't even tell you how many needle he actually used. I had them in my neck, lower back, wrist, and ankles. I laid there for about 15 minutes. He took them out, and he gave me this herb to drink (smells like alcohol) and that was it. Oh he did tell me that I have slight sclerosis and he did an adjustment on me also. He'll give me a call early next week and we'll set up the next appointment. He gave me some herbs so I can slowly ween off of my meds-cuz I don't think they are working anyway...but the goal is that in 6mths I won't need anything...meds or herbs :) I like the sound of that!!! After my session yesterday I felt a little lighter in and I felt like there was a clarity that wasn't there before (well like when I have a good day). Today I feel the same, I have a need to do things and not veg in front of the t.v. I have a peaceful/calm feel almost alert sense. :) :) :)

Today I'm doing laundry and just chilln'. I have my first guard weekend this weekend so we will see how all that goes.
Well I need to make some phone calls and get some studying done:)

More to come on the needle thing...told the folks I'm a guinea pig for others:)

Life is work!

Every day at work I see it, people wanted a quick fix or an easy way to feel/do better.  They always seem a little surprised when I say that...
