I is a student now ;)

Well, my post may not be as "regular" as before. I started classes yesterday and it was a LONG day. First class is anthropology. The teacher seems cool, and the class is interesting! So interesting I'm thinking of getting a certificate "on the body, sex, and food", this includes medical anthropology. It's either going to be a certificate or a double major....hmmm. I'm thinking that would be a good combo with doing nursing in underdeveloped countries:) Next class was writing/research....blah! The teacher didn't have the syllabus so we were out of there within like 20 minutes. She seems a little "uptight" but it was the first day so we will see. I then had a 3hr break and I worked on my studies and had lunch. Then it was global history, another teacher that was cool and very into his subject (he even helped write our text books). So I then take the 15 min shuttle to the windward campus (traffic can make this a bit longer) and then drive home...again dealing with traffic :( But it wasn't too bad. Left the house at 7:30 and got home at 7!
I have work today...yeah. Tomorrow is a longer day cuz I have my economics class and that doesn't get out till 8:10 and then the shuttle and then the drive home.
I was playing with the idea of changing schools to UH cuz when it comes to the new GI bill and with the guard, I wouldn't have to pay anything out of pocket. BUT after my orientation week and started classes I'm going to stay at HPU. The classes are small, which I have always liked. I have NEVER taken a class in an auditorium, and it looks like I never will :) I am taking some freshman classes and they are the size of high school classes. Also, in one of my classes I had a transfer student from UH and he was/is a nursing student. He transferred cuz according to UH his 3.75 GPA wasn't good enough to get into the nursing program! I'm already in the nursing program here at HPU! So I'm staying put and I will look into financial aid etc. No worries:)
4 more days and I'm on my way to Virginia for a week! WHOOHOO Hopefully all these hurricanes that are brewing won't mess everything up :(
Well I need to get some reading done, and get ready for work...
Aloha!

Life is work!

Every day at work I see it, people wanted a quick fix or an easy way to feel/do better.  They always seem a little surprised when I say that...
