Apartments #5 and #6

Well yesterday turned out to be productive, we put in applications for both of the places we looked at yesterday and we are really hoping for #6... but a couple of other people have also put in applications for that place :(

#5: is a few blocks away from the main Waikiki strip, thus it is that close to the beach, right across from the Ala Wai canal, it's small, no air conditioning (most of these places don't, it's on the 10th floor, small bathroom and small kitchen with not so much storage for things.... but it's doable, especially with the location being walking distance from all the shops/restaurants/stores/beach/etc., also it's the 10th floor, $1195/mth

#6: not in the best looking neighborhood but it's a secured building, I'm thinking we are walking distance from a beach (Ala Moana Mall is about a block away and that place is right across from the beach), 14th floor, a lot of storage, views of Ala Wai canal/Diamond Head/Ocean from our lanai(balcony), there is a pool on the rooftop with even better views of everything, all utilities included even cable (we'd just have to get the Internet hooked up), $1250/mth

So now we will wait. The #6 guy said that the owners are wanting to make a decision soon so it will be sometime this coming week. I will look at craigs list again on Sunday/Monday just in case things don't pan out.
I have school work to finish up, along with a test to take online and Seanny got enlisted to help Dad do some work around the house. Mom and Dad got a new washer, and he needs to do something to the corner of the house. Starting Monday, the deck building will begin. Something is always being built around here, either by Dad or by other folks:)

Life is work!

Every day at work I see it, people wanted a quick fix or an easy way to feel/do better.  They always seem a little surprised when I say that...
