A little tired this morn

Let's see, my last post was about a $200 purse :) I forgot to mention that I also had to buy a couple of bathing suit bottoms, and again I didn't go for the safe full coverage, but got the rio cut (I think that's what it is). It doesn't cover as much of my ass that would be normal. I blame this purchase on being in HI. Plus who cares if my butt cheeks have dimples, I'm happy with it as is:)
Friday, Mom Darlene and I went to the Ala Moana mall for some shopping. It went fast and I, for the first time enjoyed the shopping experience, even by myself (we split up-they had different stores they wanted to go to). I guess that comes with the territory of starting to be comfortable in your own skin. I even told Mom that cloths that I buy now actually fit me and aren't a size to big. We had lunch at a great Italian restaurant and I had a glass of wine! A big glass of wine compared to the glass I got at Utah when I went out to eat:) After lunch we headed home and I was lazy but occupied for the rest of the day.
I was occupied cuz I was meeting this guy for drinks. Of course everyone was seeing it as a date, but I saw it as more of meeting someone my age, to chat with and hang out with. Hell, I didn't even put a lot of thought into my outfit (usually a sure sign of a date :) Honolulu boy was due to meet me at 8 at a bar/restaurant in Haliewa. When he first brought up meeting me I told him that it wasn't a good weekend...I was flying home and had drill (which I had to be at 0530, which meant a 0330 wake up time). He offered to drive out here, which got him some kudo points and I felt that was cool of him so we agreed Friday night @ 8. So I get there at 8 and sit in the bar area, well after about 15 min I had to grab a waitress to get a damn drink (service sucked). It's uncomfortable sitting at a bar by yourself for any length of time, even worse was that I had to force a waitress to bring me a drink, and I was the only female in the bar area. Well I got my drink and at 8:25 I was about done with the waiting, but I guess it was time enough for some other guys to talk to me (they even offered me some calamari:) When I paid my tab someone else came up to offer to buy me a drink...by this time I was just irritated by the whole situation and if I wasn't working in the morning I would of probably stayed at let this guy by me a few drinks....but I thanked him, told the calamari guys to have a good nite and headed home. When I got home Mom wasn't home (if you want that story I need an email). Of course Dad was surprised, and when Mom showed up from her adventure with Darlene I told her and she was bummed for me to. I was hurt, but I'm cool with it. I did come home and clean out my Facebook/Myspace of any applications that's purpose was to meet new people. Yeah he was an online hook up :( I'll do it the old fashion way and do the face to face contact stuff from the get go. I did send Honolulu a little email, pretty much thanked him for the lonely drink at the bar....in a sarcastic way. I have yet to hear anything from him. Mom, being ever optimistic about somethings said maybe something happen. Of course "something" could have happened but whatever. Yes, the whole thing bothered me but I'm over it now. I got a lot to focus on to be wasting time worry about some yahoo that decided to stand me up :)
So at 0330 I was up at out of here for my fun day in MOPP gear. I have NEVER spent so much damn time in MOPP 4 as I did on saturday... EVER in my 10 yrs of AD!!!! We didn't get out of there till 6...thus me making it home close to 7. I got home, ate, showered and went to bed. Sunday was a regular physical day and it went well so that was a blessing.
I stopped by Borders and got "Breaking Dawn" and I got sucked it and finished it in one reading (all 754pgs)....so that's why this morn I'm a little tired. I think I went to bed at 0330....yes I stayed up all night to read a book. I do that sometimes:)
I need to clean my room, clean up my MOPP gear from sweating in the dam mask, and also go downtown to pick up almost $400 worth of school books!
Tomorrow Mom and I are going to Honolulu for some surfing. Since the "winter" is over we need to go south for some waves.
Aloha!

Life is work!

Every day at work I see it, people wanted a quick fix or an easy way to feel/do better.  They always seem a little surprised when I say that...
