Long day in paradise...(pics)

Yesterday I had my campus tour of Hawaii Pacific University (HPU). I had to be there at 9am so I left home at 7 am! Work traffic wasn't too bad but it was slow moving for a while. I was given my first chaka from a driver when I let him merge into my lane...COOL! The campus is really neat. The main campus is downtown Honolulu, and the buildings are spread over a couple of city blocks. They don't have sororities but they have clubs for everything you can think of. I was informed that the Danish club (no one is really Danish in the club) throws the best party's:) The school prides it's self on it's diversity of cultures and I heard a couple of different languages being spoken just walking around! The classes are small so there is more interaction. The other main part of the campus is on the windword side of the island in the mountains. That's where a majority of my classes will be that pertain to nursing. It's smaller, but it's amazing how it's the same school but totally different campuses. I got a good feel about the school.
When I left the campus I had to do an errand for Dad. I had to drop off his laptop at a computer store. The guy that I dropped it off to was really friendly and we BS'd about everything: movies, food (told me where the best BBQ on the island is at), and informed me that on the big island I could scuba dive with huge sting rays! He was on the feminine side, so he was a riot!
Like it said in the pics I got a little turned around so I had to make a u turn, and they had a pull off so I took some pics. I can't believe I LIVE HERE NOW! I took the long way home ALL the way around the island. The road hugs the ocean the whole time.... beautiful!!!!
As soon as I got home Phoenix and Mom were fixn' to go to the beach. So I threw my slippers (flip flops) on and went with and FINALLY got to see the sea turtles. YEAH! We stayed for about an hour watching the surfers and just relaxing. Once we got home it was dinner time and I was worn out from the day.
Today....I have NO obligations:) I'm thinking of doing some window shopping in town after I pick up this weeks pay:)

Life is work!

Every day at work I see it, people wanted a quick fix or an easy way to feel/do better.  They always seem a little surprised when I say that...
