HIANG (pics)

I enlisted into the Hawaii Air National Guard yesterday afternoon, this is a goofy pic of me waiting for my meeting, after putting in a few hours at work. They seem to be a good group of folks. I had an Lt swear me in that was a TSgt just a few weeks ago! He did pretty good, only messed up a little at the end:) After I took care of all the paperwork I hung out and talked with a TSgt that I'll be working with. She gave me a quick, "this is how it is here" chit chat and I feel really good about everything. Hopefully I'll fit in :) The ship picture was taking from the parking lot across the street from the guard unit....I know it's a hard place to work :)
After that I went shopping at the NEX for a couple of new bathing suits then I had to find the only Walgreens on island, which is in Honolulu. It wasn't too bad. I mean how lost can I get on an island?! ha ha ha Of course this is towards the end of the day so I got to experience all the after work traffic...which like all traffic SUCKS but at least there is usually a nice view:)
Not sure when I'm suppose to work again. I talked with D who is part owner, she was in for a short bit yesterday. She said she's heard rave reviews about me :) and I got paid for my weeks work. She said she'll send me an email of the schedule once she has it figured out...so far no email. I'm going to stop by today and drop off my UTA schedule so she has it already.
In the guard, the exercise on non sat/sun..so it's more pay:) You have your regular UTA days which are sat and sun and then when we have to exercise it's built in to those days, whether it be a thurs/fri or a mon/tues. I think that's pretty cool.
Well todays a good day off for me. Not sure if I'll do my laundry or go to the beach :)
