It's like I never left :P

Well I made it to Utah. The flight out here was pretty much un-eventful. Phoenix is a good traveler, kudos to him:) On the first flight, the longest one, my blond streaks acted out and I didn't look at our seats. Sure enough, getting on the plane I noticed we were not even sitting next to one another! ARGH I was lucky though and a single women traded seats with me.
First stop was LA and I HATE that airport. The only thing that makes it o.k., is every time that I've stopped there the weather has been good. Granted you can't see the sky in smoggy LA but it's Cali so it feels good to me. You got to walk out of one terminal and go and recheck in to a different terminal. It's just a big pain AND if for some real reason you got to pick up luggage that whole situation turns into a nightmare...but it went well. We found our gate and then had some BK for breakfast. Phoenix proceeded to spill chocolate milk everywhere (thank goodness it was just on the floor and on not on either one of us). Random people talk to Phoenix and he talks back, it's like kids are magnets or they have signs posted on their heads "talk to me". Whatever.....
On to Dallas...the layover here was alittle bit longer but it was still a smooth ride. Lunch at McD's. At this airport Phoenix decided he wanted to go into the men's bathroom-I don't think so. He promised "I'll be good and not mess with anything", still his request was denied. The only time I didn't have an eye on him is when I was in the stall in the bathroom even then I was like "stand there and don't move".
On to Lawton Oklahoma! OMG it was HOT and FLAT! ARGH...I got some pics, I'll be posting them when I get back to Hawaii. I am SO use to some sort of land mark, hell even tall buildings....something! That as soon as I left the airport I started going the wrong way! But I quickly turned around and figured things out, made it to my motel, checked in and then headed over to Chris and Annas. They were at the airport so they took Phoenix with them. Angus is SO cute but yes, a handful already. My rent a car was a black Hyundai...nice enough but you'd think the damn thing would have tinted windows in a place that reaches 100 degrees! Anyhoo...made it to the house and we went out for dinner. It was a nice enough visit. Around 9 I made it back to my hotel and called it a night...first time I've been in a motel/hotel that had (or looked liked) hard wood floors. Interesting and probably a lot more sanitary:)
The next morning I was back at the small building that goes for an airport. I got there way early so I went into their "restaurant" for some breakfast. I ordered a ham and cheese omelet but got grease with a side of ham/egg omelet, toast, and hash rounds...welcome to the country, your arteries will hate you! Had a change of plans in Dallas and here I am in Utah.
My rent a car here is a freakn' caravan! ARGH it's like driving a damn tank, but I tell myself, it's the state car so I'm in good company! The car I wanted was a small car, but it wasn't ready yet?! Every time (which isn't a lot) I rent a car the car I want is never "available" so I'm "upgraded for free". Hmmmm...something to think about and why is a minivan for a single person considered a good upgrade?! But I will work it out with pride! :) On a side note: fingernail polish...the girl that was helping me get the cool ass caravan had horrible chipped nail polish. I would overlook this if it's not in a work place where customer service is being giving but ladies...PLEASE if you are helping customers with your job take the 3 minutes and take your polish off if it's chipped OR use a nice light color so if it does start to chip it isn't so noticeable!
Looks like I'll be going jet skiing on Saturday:) whoo hoo...how fun will that be?! Granted I think it will be FREEZN' ASS COLD but heh it will be fun.
Well...the day must get started:)
Aloha

Life is work!

Every day at work I see it, people wanted a quick fix or an easy way to feel/do better.  They always seem a little surprised when I say that...
